Today I went with a painterly style in Procreate on the iPad Pro, doing the whole thing using just the Niko Roll brush. Something I would not normally think would work, but the broad strokes and textures in the tool keep me from focusing on minutia and making it a muddy, overworked mess, as I am all-too-likely to do with a painting. I like the way it turned out. Maybe I should make that my default painting brush from now on.
